Impact investing webinar - Article 8 vs. 9 Funds - Legal, commercial, and operational perspectives

This event, organized by SECA in collaboration with Addleshaw & Goddard, Eversheds Sutherland, Biomed VC, CHI Impact Capital, and ASC Impact, is aimed at manag-ers and LP decision-makers in the investment sector, family offices, insurance firms, pension funds, and fund GPs.

Impact funds, Article 8 and 9 funds, are particularly relevant today. Their return expectations can match those of conventional funds. However, many GPs and LPs have questions regarding the distinctions and specifics of Article 8 and 9 funds as per the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR).

During this event, we aim to differentiate between Article 8 and 9 funds and engage in an exchange of ideas on the following topics: Key questions for the event:

  • What factors differentiate Article 8 from Article 9 funds?
  • What are the critical aspects from legal, operational, and commercial perspectives?
  • What essential aspects should LPs and GPs pay attention to?
  • What challenges, processes, and investment requirements are crucial for Article 8 and 9 funds?
  • What are some practical examples?
  • How can one establish Article 8 and 9 funds?
