Female Innovation Index 2026 is here

The 2026 Edition Female Innovation Index has now launched. SECA has been a proud partner of the Female Innovation Index.

Key findings:

• Female entrepreneurs in Europe raised €7.5B through 1,376 deals in 2025 - the highest level of venture capital funding in 3 years.
• 22% of all venture capital raised by female-founded startups went to companies leveraging AI.
• Funding rounds raised by female founded companies are getting bigger, with 12% year-on-year increase across all stages.
• 2025 marked a record year for female-founded companies in Europe reaching unicorn status, there are now 29 female-founded unicorns.
• 2025 saw an unprecedented level of M&A activity for female-founded startups in Europe, there were 124 M&A female-founded exits.
