This SECA event will showcase Swiss managers and discuss opportunities, challenges and look to the future.

Success stories such as company sales and IPOs are acting as catalysts. Europe is becoming increasingly attractive as a venture capital location and is rapidly catching up with the US. This positive momentum has also reached Switzerland, where numerous new funds are being launched by both experienced and emerging managers.

A characteristic feature of these new funds is that, in addition to focusing on specific stages of company development or particular sectors, they are managed by teams with distinctive and long-standing entrepreneurial, industrial, scientific, and financial expertise. The team’s track record—whether established together or as a newly formed combination of experienced individuals—as well as the performance of predecessor funds are among the key quality criteria investors consider when deciding which fund to invest in.

According to the latest survey published with the Swiss Venture Capital Report in early 2026, 50 Swiss investment vehicles are currently raising capital, with more than half having already achieved a first closing. This expanding fund landscape gives investors access to an increasingly broad range of investment opportunities.
