The main topic of this years SECA conference was about Transforming Society through Innovation. Nevertheless, the SECA conference offered again a wide range of different subtopics, that all interests are covered.

Morning Session
Transforming Society through Innovation
Join us to hear from world class experts who are driving social transformation by leveraging innovation, technology and entrepreneurship. Mohandas Pai from Manipal Global Education will share how innovation changed the game for global corporations which employ extraordinary talent in India and worldwide. Michl Binderbauer of TAE Technologies will share how “deep-tech” innovation in nuclear fusion can alter the global energy landscape by harnessing the power of the sun on earth (see photo above). Bernard Moon will share insights into how SparkLabs Group, the global venture capital firm in partnership with ASU/Thunderbird, are supporting innovation from Asia to Silicon Valley. Andreas Thors at Partners Group will help us better under-stand the trends and impact of deploying private capital into leading innovation players and projects worldwide.

Young SECA – Urgency of Climate Change: Generation Z calls for tangible Climate Solutions
The time for action is now – this is the mantra being taken up by Generation Z across the world. Already this year, thousands of high school students across the world have skipped school to protest against the inaction on cli-mate change. This session looks at how institutional investors, innovative asset managers and engaged entrepreneurs can respond to this urgency with concrete solutions and sustainable investments.
